Scope of this Standard

This National Standard establishes minimum requirements for beach operators that offer services to beach users. It provides requirements for both beach operators and users regarding the following:

  1. beach management;
  2. beach operations and planning;
  3. beach maintenance and waste removal;
  4. beach safety, information and communication;
  5. infrastructure; and
  6. service provision.
